Baker Mayfield threw an absolute rocket of a Hail Mary on Monday night against the Baltimore Ravens.

Mayfield threw the ball from the Browns' own 40-yard line and wound up overthrowing the end zone.

While it was ultimately incomplete, the pass landed in the history books as the longest ever recorded by Pro Football Focus.

Baker Mayfield threw the longest recorded pass in NFL history, and it went so far that a defender crashed into the goalpost

Jamarcus should get into playing shape and try to get into some mop up duty just to throw it 100 yards and drop the mic.

Pretty amazing that he started out as a walkon at Texas Tech.

I would love to see Mahomes get a running start like Baker did and really let one fly. I bet he could get one damn near 90 yards.

That throw was really damn impressive though.

Pretty amazing that Texas Tech had Davis Webb, Baker Mayfield and Patrick Mahomes on the roster at the same time.

3rd Round Pick 2017: Webb (transferred to Cal)
1st Round Pick 2018: Mayfield (transferred to OU)
1st Round Pick 2017: Mahomes

Mahomes arrived in 2014 but Mayfield left before that year. Still neat though

I took my eyes off the screen before the snap and when I looked back up I saw it sail past the goalpost. I thought I missed a snap before I realized that he threw it from their side of the field.

He and Josh Allen could really put some down there.

I can't remember what week it was, but Aaron Rodgers threw a 80 yard bomb against the Lions on Christmas Day to Donald Driver, and I still remember being wow'd because the CB literally let Donald keep running because they thought there was no way he could throw it that far.

So, he has an extremely inaccurate cannon. Can't hit a football field from the 40-yard line.

But that was a bad hail mary. Take like 13 yards off the distance and add some air hang time, baker.

I don't recall that specific play, but I knew A Rod had some really long ones out there (Elway too). Quick search on YouTube had this one where Aaron through from the 28 and the ball landed about 3-4 yards deep, off balance.

Pretty surprising considering that mayfield is a relatively small dude.

Don’t the guys that typically throw the ball the hardest and/or farthest have either long, wiry builds or incredibly powerful lower bodies?

Semi-related: Me cranking a Sidewinder end zone to end zone last week. Yep I’m bored.
