So after botching the season about every which way, there was one modification to the season that I like and wonder if it should stay. Every B1G team will (maybe.. we'll see) play the corresponding team across from them in the West/East standings.

(1) Northwestern v. (1) Ohio State
(2) Iowa v. (2) Indiana
(3) Maryland v. (3) Wisconsin
...and down the line.

For implications of the CFP, does this help remedy the problem of being penalized for playing in a conference championship game and losing? Say, hypothetically, Alabama loses in SEC championship game and gets knocked out of the Top 4. A&M would still have to beat a solid Gerogia team instead of just sliding up a spot in the CFP rankings while not playing. Every team in the CFP will have played the same number of games.

I actually like this idea.

Why are all the good teams in the same division? Wisconsin had no excuse not to play in the btcc every single year.

What were they thinking?

Sunconciously assumed Michigan would find a reason to avoid embarrassment this weekend

But wouldn’t OSU still be 1 with a loss?
Since they beat Indians head to bead?

Maybe I haven't kept up with all the changes, I was under assumption OSU wouldn't be eligible if they didn't play this weekend

Think they said they’d reword eligibility rules

I would be livid as a Nebraska fan with the conference changing the rules for OSU after the way they treated you earlier in the year.

I agree. The extra games seem like a good idea and if you are sitting on the couch waiting for a playoff bid...this is one way to make it fairer.
