Very questionable to allow Morton to go this deep. He’s struggled third time through all year. Rays never once let him face as many hitters as he faced tonight in a playoff game.
Clearly wasn’t very sharp in these last two innings. I guess the bullpen not being all that strong is the excuse but pretty strange to leave him out there that long.

A lot of teams have been using starters with big time stuff in one inning stints on their bullpen day in the past few playoffs. Peralta makes a lot more sense than the struggling Boxberger here to me.
