He grew up in the Tempe area, and both him and his wife went to school at ASU.

He may leave, but I don't think he will anytime soon.

Wasn’t there some friction with him and the athletic department with the bowl forfeit? Seemed like they placed him there to take the brunt of the hit of the sanctions and he’s worked his way around all that anyway. Could be a recipe for a guy to leave his Alma mater

If he has another one or two more successful years, he will leave for the first major job that approaches

Like they all do

I’d like to think so but people said the same thing about Jonathan Smith at Oregon State. The difference may be ASU is more stable from a conference standpoint.

Incorrect. ASU has the money to match offers to keep him. Coaches don’t usually leave their alum for other schools unless they were forced out.

Good for him. These coaches get generational wealth as annual salaries. Glad to see some giving back.

Problem is some big name school will offer him a $100 million dollar offer and give him a plaque for his future national title with the year blank. I think it would be very hard to turn down that kind of money.

No personally I could see where from a stress level it might be better to stay at a school with lower expectations.
