What I would've done to be there at Wrestlemania 17.

I was there. Trying to turn SCSA heel in Texas was not a great decision.

I lived in Houston at that time, and he was a fun player to watch. He was a switch hitter, but you never knew which side of the plate he would hit from regardless of who was pitching.

Loved the dome, saw Nolan Ryan' Full game broadcasts fifth no hitter there.
He was filthy that day. You could here the mitt pop from the bathrooms.
Line up for the 'Stros was impressive.
Love the Dominican announcer with the lineups.

Opening night, Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Crowd politely applauded when the Governor rode around the stadium. Earl Campbell got a standing applause, then in rode Bum Phillips who had just been fired that winter.

The place erupted with cheers. Bum got teary eyed, I got teary eyed, but so did all the friends I was with. I think it was the Texas Sesquicentennial, but Bum was my fondest memory.

I had an Aunt & Uncle who lived in Houston in 1965. My Uncle was a baseball fan so he got tickets to the opening series against the Yankees.
