Dam dude

quote:

"I don't know if this will throw us into an NCAA investigation -- my senior year, I was getting money on the side," said Foster. "I really didn't have any money. I had to either pay the rent or buy some food. I remember the feeling of like, 'Man, be careful.' But there's nothing wrong with it. And you're not going to convince me that there is something wrong with it.

Are you fricking kidding me? They weren't even on the radar ,dickmove IMO

Nonetheless, the NCAA and the University of Tennessee probably aren't smiling about Foster's revelation.

Yes they were, for more recent players.

And it won't bring about investigation, because it's over 4 years old.

Sure...bro........sure

Minor recruiting violations =/= paying players

He couldn't have been the last one/only one.

Investigation is forthcoming. Book it.

50 tacos could have pushed him in to a different tax bracket.

quote:

We're hungry. Either you give us some food, or I'm gonna go do something stupid.' He came down and he brought like 50 tacos for like four or five of us. Which is an NCAA violation. [laughs] But then, the next day I walk up to the facility and I see my coach pull up in a brand new Lexus. Beautiful."

"We're hungry".

Uhhmm, I was friends with football players, they get all the food they want, with the campus meal card. No need to have an agent buy you tacos.

I'm guessing he's referring to a holiday or another day when the cafeterias were closed

He could eat anything he wanted throughout the day at the Gibbs dining hall or at the football facility, no matter if he stayed at Gibbs or not. Hell you're already up early to workout, then I know the bulk of the team would go to gibbs and crush the dining room buffet they had. You go class until just before lunch, back at gibbs for the lunch they serve there. Practice, then eat with the bulk of the team at gibbs afterwards. I lived there my Freshman year, that's how it worked. Gibbs is next to the football complex and provided the approved meal plans that the nutritionists give them for the players.

Arian was staring at being an UDFA out of UT. I don't hate him at all. What I don't care for is him kind of throwing his alma mater under the bus. Kind of a dick move.

All that being said, the NCAA has some serious problems.

One day the NCAA will realize that every team gives its players money in one way or another.

Do I think the players should get pd? Hell yes, look at how much money the school and NCAA are making off of them.

On the other hand, the pros are free to discuss this because there are no repercussionss to them. Only ones punished are the school and current athletes. NFL needs to work with NCAA if they want to truly monitor and punish those that are responsible
