They need to be moved to 12pm kickoffs for the rest of the year

Undisputed has literally been talking about the Cowgirls/Iggles game for over an hour and literally made the Redskins/Saints game turn into a Dak/Wentz conversation.

This shite has become out of hand.

It's happening. I enjoy seeing them get crushed any chance I get.

I enjoy watching good football teams. Doesn't that ever get old?

It really is. We have so many outlets and choices available and the over the air broadcasters have an even bigger stranglehold on the content. Like yesterday. Half the country missed an epic Saints comeback but were forced to watch New England skull frick another opponent because "CBS has the doubleheader this week."

It's almost freaking 2018 and the NFL still literally uses 1970s rules to determine who's on TV every week. It defies logic.

Saints don't sell. Cowboys do. Just like the guy who was bitching about NO/LAR not being flexed into Sunday Night in place of GREEN BAY/PITTSBURGH.

Really? Why would a network flex in New Orleans and L.A. for two of the largest fanbases in the NFL?

You're really telling me you don't see the connection or self-fulfilling prophecy? The entire media paradigm is biased toward the teams that get to play on national television. Nobody else gets to prove them wrong. How do we know Saints/Rams won't outdraw Brett fricking Hubdley? THEY NEVER GET A CHANCE TO PROVE THEM WRONG! If the Saints had 9 national broadcasts so far this year like the Cowboys, people would be interested. They wouldn't even have a choice.

The Chiefs prove this theory. Nobody gives a shite about the Chiefs. They they got a shitload of national broadcasts at the beginning of the year, and now suddenly everyone wants to know what's wrong with the Chiefs.

There are people in Louisiana, myself included, that don't give two shits about New Orleans, and you think they will prove the networks wrong?

There's really only about 5 or 6 teams that executives view as relavent from a TV standpoint....

Patriots, Steelers, Packers, Eagles, Cowboys, Giants.... and maybe Denver... That's it...Those are essentially the blue bloods and what brings eyeballs to the sets.

...... Which means that, yes, the networks will broadcast a shitty game with a shitty QB over a very strong game with so called "lesser" relevant teams. It sucks....i have complained for years about the mediocre arse Giants and Cowboys always being on primetime... At least with Pats and Steelers, you have extremely well run organizations that always win..

Just curious, what's the official rule on this?m I always figured it was a judgement call based on expected ratings.

I agree but I would add the Redskins to the mix. They aren't good now but they are one of the larger media markets, and keeping the politicians happy is good. If the 49ers would get back to being good we could add them in the mix too as the designated Left Coast team.

This.

The Saints, however well they are performing in a given year, are a very small-market team with limited regional appeal (southern half of Louisiana and the Mississippi Gulf Coast) and no (zilch, nada, zero) national appeal.

Much more eloquently written than the way I put it.

Dallas is the straw that stirs the ratings drink even when they lose.
