Are the Bengals arriving like the Saints did in 2006?

It feels that way. It feels like the beginning of something great up there. We could be seeing them get themselves together as a franchise. Burrow will lead them to the promised land.

I hope so, both for the team and their fans. Bengals fans have waited/suffered long enough.

No because they still have Mike Brown as their owner. He’s never going to pony up the extra dough to take the Bengals over the top.

Are Louisiana sports fans the new Cubs fans?

You just can’t keep these lovable folks down.

Is the Cincinnati Head Coach better than average? I have seen a couple Cincinnati games this year and I remember thinking he was making some questionable decisions. They have certainly improved over last year. I am pulling for them and Burrow.

They lost to the bears in week 2. This is the NFL. They could lose next Sunday. Who knows

The Bengals had that same feeling in 2005 when 2nd year starter Carson Palmer went 11-5 and again in 2011 when rookie Andy Daltons went 10-6

They probably have higher expectations than being the new Saints one SB win with an “all time” QB lol

With the minimum salary cap set so high this argument doesn't really hold anymore.

It’s a casual fan talking point.

combined with the niners in 1981 and just a pinch of the steelers in 1974

We haven't won a fricking playoff game since 1990 and Boomer Esiason was our QB.

We've definitely paid our fricking dues.

This is actually a common misconception. I'm no Mike Brown fan but our salary budget is consistently in the middle of the pack in the NFL.

Mike's problem is his fricking loyalty. He wants to reward guys for being Bengals by keeping them far past their usefulness. Where he cheats out is when it's time to sign someone for more money or let them walk in free agency. He'd rather draft someone than pay a proven commodity. He also has a terrible fricking history of sticking with someone who isn't worth a damn because he's paying them and wants to get his money out of them. Even if it's, at that point, bad money and we need to get someone new, he'd rather run the guy out there he's already paying even if they belong on the fricking scout team.

Being realistic..

beat Jets
beat Browns
bye
will lose one of these...Raiders, Steelers, Chargers
beat Niners
beat Broncos
could lose to Ravens
beat Chiefs
beat Browns

So...12-5 and would go 13-4 before 11-6

For some Reason I can to square this circle. So you’re saying he rewards people for being Bengals but would rather let them walk than pay them?
