What are these "fundamentals" that are only practiced in college and not NFL?

Attended a Redskins preseason game once while visiting DC. I was surrounded by trash in the upper deck, might as well been in a trailer park.

Them getting defensive is the best thing about the opening of football season. Happens every year.

The talent disparity in the NFL is much smaller than many college football games. So fundamentals and coaching mean way more imo.

I am not really defending these fans, but talking about fundamentals in college vs the NFL is stupid. Talking about college coaching vs NFL coaching is also stupid.

Some were

It was funny. First night of college football and these jackasses were angry that all the screens were showing college and only a few, smaller screens were showing NFL preseason. It's NFL preseason Week 4, no one gives a shite.

One guy had his Steelers jersey on and didn't even bet on the game, he was just there to cheer on his Steelers. He was hollering and yelling at every good play the Steelers had like it was the Super Bowl.

I grew up in South Carolina before the Panthers came to NC. The closest teams were either Atlanta, which hadn't existed long, or Washington, which was 8 hours away. I had zero connection with any NFL team and I wasn't going to manufacture some connection to pull for a team. My Dad was a Gamecock grad and season ticket holder and we lived 2 hours from Columbia.

People have been watching college football in the South since the 1890's. The NFL is the new arrival down here. There is a reason we're college football fanboys.
