Why would you go to an American football game in London.

Because it is an excuse to go to London and surrounding areas for vacation.

I'm not asking why you would go to London. I'm asking why you would go to the American Football game while you're there.

Went for Saints/Dolphins this season

Cold and wet in October but we had a blast. Wembley is kind of out of the way so the few bars/restaurants they have are usually packed like sardines. But they have outside beer and vendors that are reasonable

I love Alabama football, but if I'm in London on vacation, I'm not wasting 5 hours watching the Iron Bowl.

Went for Saints/Dolphins this year.

Weather wasn’t bad, and visiting London was great (although expensive).

Took the Tube pretty much everywhere, including to Wembley.

The game itself felt more like the Pro Bowl. The stadium was at least 80% locals (if not more) so you saw jerseys from every team across all decades represented.

They had little graphics explaining the rules during timeouts

The locals got really into the event/spectacle of the game, but not so much cheering during the actual game if that makes sense. So it was a weird vibe, but still fun

Went to my 1st game when I was 4 or 5 in 1992. Graduated from UA in 2010.

There really isn't one

English soccer stadiums are basically in the middle of neighborhoods with almost no parking

I went in 2016 to see the Redskins it was awesome though. Tons of pubs and bars with in a stones throw of the stadium to drink. Also a frick ton of food trucks and other stuff NFL UK has right out side the stadium.

They do have a "tailgate" party but its like 100 pounds a head and its basically a buffet.

What's that got to do with not wanting to go to something that I can see every Sunday of the season? If I'm going to a foreign country, I'm at least going to watch local teams.

Yeah, the Green Man Pub is packed with people. Takes an hour to get a beer.

Tailgating around the stadium is non-existent.

It's a purely British experience...you go to the Pub before the game and saunter over just before kick-off. Problem is, Wembley doesn't have tons of cool pubs nearby.

NFL puts up some lame "tailgate experience" which is just commercial stupidity.

Yea dude they love it

at the bars before the game if they heard an American accent they would run to talk football.

My favorite pubs in the Wembley area before a game are the torch and the green man.

basically nonexistent. Wembley is out there and the lines for beer and food were awful.
