Any Ravens fans here? Lamar Jackson...you think he’s a franchise QB

Saw he and Mark Ingram do a little sit down on NFL network yesterday after practice.

Painful to listen would be an understatement.
Ingram was his typical self, jovial, intuitive, able to answer a question with conciseness.

LJ on the other hand, dear god. If the Ravens staff and front office think this cat is a franchise QB that will win them a Super Bowl, than getting a job in the NFL is not that hard.

Based on his inability to enunciate a clear thought, I have no idea how the coaching staff thinks this guy can grasp/understand a complex offense, and /or adjust/dissect an NFL defense.

Guy may be an athletic freak, which may win some games, but Super Bowl caliber QB no way.

He has Tebow level accuracy, and is tiny, so it's just assumed he will miss games due to injury. Could he pull a Cam Newton and just get hot for an entire season on route to a SB? Sure, but he will not be able to consistently drag teams to the playoffs.

Go look up a Brett Favre interview from the year the Packers won the Super Bowl.

Not saying Jackson will do the same, but judging his QB potential on his interview skills is laughably dumb.

I have a lot of faith in Bisciotti, Harbs, and the organization. They haven't had back to back losing seasons in over 20 years despite having some very spotty and inconsistent play at QB over the years. If Lamar isn't the guy, I'm sure they'll figure it out quickly and get someone who is.

Brett is a dumbass, that's very true.

But he's also one of the toughest and most competitive guys to ever play the position and had a Howitzer cannon attached to his shoulder that could deliver throws from 15 different arm angles.

He was an exception, not a rule.

Petrino inflated the hell out of his completion percentage in college by running 800 crossers a game. I saw him sail enough of those in college to know it probably wouldn’t translate long term.

Ravens apparently plan to run him well over Cam Newtons career high in carries. I think it could get ugly next year with a chunk of film on him for teams to study.

I wouldn’t trot Lamar out in front of many cameras, and I definitely wouldn’t let him have social media. But his skills on the field are interesting. If he can somehow develop an NFL passing game he could be Mike Vick

I lost faith in him ever being an NFL franchise QB after I saw what he did against LSU.

The second his Petrino-orchestrated rhythm was messed up he lost his shite. Against less talented teams, he'd just outrun them on broken plays. He couldn't against LSU and won't be able to in the NFL.

He's a poor man's Michael Vick. He's not as elusive and doesn't have close to that level of arm talent.

Vick himself wasn’t a good passer except that 1 season with the eagles

But he probably had the strongest arm in the league and could throw darts off-balance 50 yards down the field.

ETA:

And was one of the greatest playmakers ever from that position. Lamar is a great athlete, but Vick was a generational athlete.

Also if your ceiling is Mike Vick, then you probably aren’t a franchise QB.

Straight line stop watch, I bet they're very similar.

Vick in pads, in game scenarios, just looked like he was running past and eluding people in quick sand. His speed, acceleration, and elusiveness were just insane in pads.

He’s in way over his head. He’s a poor mans Aaron Brooks at best.
