I am looking for some new plays for my kid's team (1st and 2nd grade) and (3rd and 4th grade). For my older team, I have been running a lot of 5 yard hooks if the safeties are playing deep and I run 2 corners and a deep hook if safeties are playing up. My main play has my fastest player running motion at set, with a QB option to hand it to him, hand it to either running back behind him, or throw a quick out.

Just wondering if anyone else coaches and has plays that work. Specifically, my offense gets a bit bogged down in the redzone.

your skill position players arent good enough to get separation 1 on 1 when the defense goes to man coverage in the red zone

try some crossing routes or pick routes. put it on the ref to call the illegal pick.

Most teams stay in a 4 under 2 over zone in the redzone. My problem is I don't have a great QB. He has a good arm on deep routes, but he lacks touch and his decision making is about a second to slow. I have had some success running a front cone, back cone, middle crossing route, but it involves me yelling at him on which kid to throw to.

Then save the fake WR reverse for the playoffs and let the QB score an 80yd TD.

Run speed option to both sides with RPO. TDs every drive.

It can't be stopped in adult leagues and sure as shite can't be stopped in kid leagues.

Used to coach and play all the time when I lived in Florida.

Our bread and butter play, was always a bunch play. Put three wide outs to the left or right of the center. Have the three wideouts do 5 yard slants one direction, then the center does a 3 yard slant underneath to the opposite direction. Works really well against man coverage, because the defense gets bunched up with the crossing, and the center is usually wide open.

Run a flood play and put pressure on the safety to make a decision. Trips right (or left if your QB if a lefty), rollout, have the outside WR run a fly pattern, middle slot run a corner or 8-12 yard out, and inside slot run a 3-5 yard out. That play is painful for zone defenses to cover. Puts a ton of pressure on the safety and the outside corner.

Maybe have the WR or TE on the other side of the formation run a drag route behind it to keep the defense from cheating to that side.

Another idea is to use the same formation and have the outside WR and middle slot WR run a scissors combo while the inside WR runs an 8 yard out.

The main goal is to pressure one of the safeties into panicking and jumping one of the routes, which leaves one of your WRs open.

It is the Drew Brees FNA league. 6 on 6, QB can't run, you can send a rusher if he starts 7 yards off the line.
