He was a part of the coaching "search committee" that the owner completely ignored. They may have paid him, but they wasted weeks of his time. If he sees something that's effecting a superstar, then there's nothing wrong with him commenting. Especially since he has firsthand knowledge.

My god I'm not surprised this shite is coming from Pirate.

He was paid for his services, nothing more nothing less.

So when he provides a critique of the organization that has wasted tons of talent and opps over the years, he's being ungrateful?

My goodness

frick Jack Easterby.

It’s telling that Andre hasn’t posted a tweet other than a sponsor of Crown Royal since April 2019

If AJ felt this strongly, why did he continue to play for this organization? He could have left but didn't. He was drafted, then signed an extension in 2007, then again in 2010. When he asked to be cut in 2014, the Texans respected his wishes and did so to allow him to sign with the team of his choice.

Bottom line- if he felt his career was being wasted, he could've left way earlier in his career.

Are you implying no one should ever publicly say anything negative about their previous employer?

Hey did you guys know that if someone pays you money you’re literally not allowed to criticize them moving forward?

It’s true!

So he clearly has inside information relevant to the situation.

You don't even need inside info to see this Jack Easterby situation is weird as hell.

The person in question in the tweet was hired like 5 years after he left the franchise as a player. He still lives in the area and has worked with the franchise post retirement. As a Texans fan I appreciate him speaking up and giving a shite because it’s not apparent ownership does

I dunno. He does mention the new guy but he also says:

quote:

The Texans organization is known for wasting players careers.

This is a broad, far-reaching accusation that makes it seems like he's calling out the Texans' history as a franchise.

Hindsight is 20/20. Rogers was a higher rated player coming out of school. He was a Randy Moss clone. He just loved to smoke a lot of weed

He also killed it for a few games then I believe got injured. It’s been a minute.

Like many MSB posts, I’m sure this sounded better in your head. It should have stayed there.

I have no idea of the merits of his statement

Then don't make this idiotic thread? He also specifically criticized someone that was hired loooong after he retired.

Amazing you think just because you were paid money by someone you can't criticize them.

I think it was Bill O'Brien that sorta forced Andre out in the tail end of his career. At that point in time, Andre Johnson was probably the best player in Texans history and seemed to have a couple of good years left.

Buttchin was following the Patriot way of discarding older players and the new GM + Easterby are likely going to do the same. I'm sure Andre felt disrespected by the way it all happened and lumps O'Brien/new GM/Easterby as basically the same entity. Many Texans fans are feeling similar at the moment.

What does this have to do with anything? Dude was an elite receiver and would have earned that with any team.

Plenty of people make a lot of money working for shitty companies.

Those people even get the opportunity to shop their talents around to any company with no restrictions.

Unlike Andre Johnson

I have this idea in my head and it isn't very plausible, but I like to pretend.

It's that you're a very elaborate, yet subtle, troll. I like to think nobody is that dense and misguided on so many things and that your trolling just has incredible attention to nuance and language.

But then I wake up and realize you're just a dumbass.
