It's not reaching when the guy is being paid a mint and is being dominated by Ohio State and Michigan State. And, even though he beat Penn State last season, Penn State blew them out this season and won the Big 10 last season. Penn State is ahead of Michigan. So, Penn State, Ohio State, and Wisconsin are all ahead of the program with the second highest paid coach in college football.

Silly Toomer. He had exactly one good year at Stanford, he's the real deal

"He's a guy who hasn't won anywhere."

I guess it depends if you only consider winning championships as winning, but he had the 49ers and Stanford in pretty decent shape.

The idea that Harbaugh has never won anywhere is the most asinine thing I have ever heard

He richly deserves criticism for this year and partially last year, but don't spread outright lies that harbaugh has never won anywhere

The "he had one good year" at Stanford line that rocket31 just spewed warrants a ban, imo

No? He finished in the top 25 one time.

He also didn't even start the #1 draft pick.

He pretty much overnight turned SF from a losing/mediocre team to a championship contender, and then they immediately went back to being a mediocre/losing team as soon as he left. He did something right, even if he is a crazy frick who rubs people the wrong way.

I have no idea what's going on with Michigan right now though. I don't really follow the big 10.

Toomer is not lying

Harbaugh has never won any title at any level.

So if coach x goes to eastern Michigan and wins 9 games a year, but never wins the conference

and coach y goes to USC and averages 7 games a year except one year randomly go to the playoff, coach y is a bigger winner than x?

I thought the thread was talking about Amari Cooper at first.

Toomer is underestimating just how much Michigan declined under Brady Hoke. His first two seasons were pretty decent with Rich Rod's players. But in his last two seasons the team posted back-to-back 3-5 Big Ten records. Harbaugh has them back to the point where they were in Hoke's first two seasons. He just can't get over the hump. Eventually he will need to beat the rivals.
