If I had to guess, I’d guess he doesn’t have any help on offense and the defense sucks, and that’s why they lose.

Pretty much it. Not as bad when Young, Collins and Huerter all play, but that hasn’t happened much this year all all.

Butler wasn’t listed as a guard though. He was a forward.

this shite doesn't matter. Lebron is the Lakers PG.

Someone I saw put Simmons in there, kicked out Embiid, put Siakam at C and slid Butler in to "make it work"

Well when they’re split in front court and back court for all star purposes then it does.

Ben Simmons. Averaging 16, 8, and 8 and plays some of the best defense in the league. His team also has more than 11 wins, which I personally think is important.

Wait what?
You are now wanting to keep a player off the Allstar team because of their defense? In a game where there is no defense?

Makes since.

Nicely done.

Don’t want to keep him off the team. Just think you should be rewarding the best players in each conference and Simmons IMO has been better and more valuable than Young.

Ben Simmons has played most of the year with Joel Embiid, Al Horford and Tobias Harris on the floor. Trae Young has played most of his year with Kevin Huerter, DeAndre Hunter and Cam Reddish as the next best players. Trae has had to carry the load almost every night because no one else can. Sure the 76ers are better but it’s not because Simmons is better than Young.

Young is an absolute beast, but your squad should definitely be in the playoffs to be a starter.

Trae’s numbers this year are better than the best scoring year Carmelo ever had.

This is a new and strange standard for an all star team. Where does this come from?

The playoffs are there to showcase good teams. The all Star game is designed to showcase individual stars.

Youre comparing two different eras. The league average for points in 2013 was 98, this year its 110. League wide eFG% is .03 higher.

Carmelo’s Knicks were 3rd in offensive rating and won 54 games. The Hawks are 23rd in offense and are the 2nd worst team in the league. But yea, Carmelo is an empty stat guy and Trae isn’t

I’m also comparing Trae Young’s 2nd year to the best year Carmelo ever had.
