UPDATE: Move over Babe! The machine hits 703 and passes Babe on the all time RBI list for 2nd

***********

That’s it. That’s the post.

Actual topic. He’s sitting at 690 homers in what he’s stated is his last season on numerous occasions. With 45 games remaining where will he finish and are you rooting for him to get to 700?

For those that don’t follow him or the Cardinals. He primarily DH’s against LHP. Occasional start at 1B and late game PH opportunities. Since the All Star break he’s hitting .415 with 5 homers.

I don't think he gets it unless they let him play more than he is right now.

Sure it would be cool to see but he has zero chance of hitting 10 homers in 45 games.

It's gonna be close the way he is mashing right now. I think he can definitely get 5 more or so, but after that idk.

I've heard a rumor the Cards may sign him to a 1 month contract next year if he is within a couple and wants to.

As long as he passes ARod I’ll be satisfied.

Everyone should agree to not test him for the rest of the season and leave a few needles at his locker

Gotta get the lad to above 700

Also needs 1 more base to pass Stan Musial for 2nd all time.

I was about to make this thread. Would Cards fans say it’s a 0% chance he comes back to get 700? All things considered he’s having a great year. Batting .360 vs lefties.

He’s been very vocal this is it for him.

Almost did this thread earlier.

He seems to be on a second half hot streak and I would love nothing more for him to go out with 700.

10 still seems like a stretch with 45 left. Crossing fingers.

ETA is it confirmed that this is it for Pujols, Yadi, and Wainwright? My brother in law told me that but I never looked it up. Love that those 3 would hang it up together.

He's been hitting over .300 for over a month & just hit his 4th HR in 6 games.
I think he can get to 700 easily if he stays hot

It’s been declared that this is it for Pujols and Molina

Waino seems like he would likely be back though, he doesn’t have the same fanfare of last season as the other 2 either

My brother in law is also convinced Yadi will be the Cards manager not long after he retires.

Yeah, I've turned my nose up every time he's brought it up.

No chance. I do think he might come back next season until he gets 700 though

Maybe more likely be on the team as a coach. Not manager. That will be good too. But I think those three could come back and play part time and coach as well. Like player/coach.
