Rich Eisen said the faux spread would be AL +52......who do you guys have?

I'll take the points and my $, NE is good... not that good, or AL isn't that bad how ever you want to look at it.

For the record I do think AL could beat at least 4 NFL teams, period. My dad and I argue about this constantly.

AL has basically a complete futuristic pro team that runs a pro style of offense and is coached by Pro coach..nuff said.

Yeah well think about it from another angle: While all the Alabama players are "majoring" in sports administration, general studies, marketing, etc. 20 hrs a week, the NE Patriots are studying football 40+ hrs a week. Another advantage for the pros...

Of the 100+ hypothetical college team vs pro team threads that have happened on this board the last few years this is easily the worst

Give me your reasoning. I know it'll be really stupid, but I want to hear it.

Alabama would get absolutely slaughtered by the Bills. With college weapons, albeit solid college players but still not professionals, Johnny Manziel, Swag Kelly, Trevor Knight, Bo Wallace, Stephen Garcia had good passing games vs. Alabama

Anyone wanna tell me what NFL team any of those guys is on?

In all seriousness though, since this is a hypothetical and all, Gordon/Edelman/Gronk would be virtually uncoverable.

On the defensive side, Flowers would destroy the Bama offensive line so absolutely they would be unable to produce anything approaching an offensive game plan, and Pat Chung would be a force as both a pass and run defender.

Since the Pats have a nasty habit of letting long TDs occur, Bama would probably score a freak TD, but NE would be able to name their offensive score, and would not punt the entire game.

Bottom teams:

Raiders
Cardinals
49ers
Giants
Jets
Bills

Alabama would get their arse beat by 40 + by any of these teams.

What's the Patriots motivation to run up the score?

The only way they don't cover easily is if they take their foot off the gas.
