The Mariners are some kind of way 76-64 with a -53 run differential. That’s hard to do.
Blue Jays are only 1.5 games ahead of Seattle and they have a +143 run differential.
The Mariners specialty is to either get blown out or win by 1. Not much else in between. How they are still in the hunt is beyond me. Their lineup is trash and the rotation is very mediocre. But they keep finding ways to win.

You almost want the Yankees to blow it just to get rid of Boone who has done a horrible job or managing the lineup and bullpen... Void was great while Rizzo was on covid and now he is just a PH. He needs at bats, either put Stanton in the field or bench him or Gallo to give Voit some swings

Update with 3 weeks remaining
-Seattle and Oakland with horrendous series losses to last place teams this weekend.
-Cards have snuck up and are only 1 game out
-Houston and ChiSox will be battling for better record to get homefield advantage in their seemingly inevitable ALDS matchup
-Yankees trailing Mets 4-2 in the 4th on Sunday night baseball so their records aren’t updated through Sunday

Prob not wor try starting a thread since I doubt many people watching but this Sunday night game is wild
Lindor jawed to the Yankees bench after hitting his 2nd homer
Stanton hit a 2 run homer to tie it and jawed back at Lindor while rounding the bases resulting in benches clearing
Now Lindor just hit his 3rd homer of the game in the bottom of the 8th to give the Mets a 1 run lead

frick the spineless reds. losing series left and right to garbage teams and this series loss to the cardinals is a backbreaker.

Stanton was up with 2 on and 2 out in the 9th and swings at 3 balls outside the zone and ends up popping out. Toronto and Boston now tied for the 2 wild card spots with NYY 1 game back

Yankees getting beat soundly today by the Twins, so you know it is bad in New York
Twins collapsed in the 8th

Who didn't see this coming? Yankees will walk-off in the ninth; if you think the Yankees bullpen is bad...... Colome is awful, and they sent him in to face Judge. The Yankees should win 9 out of their next 10 or Boone should get canned. Of course, the strike-zone was BS in that inning, but Colome left it high and over the middle, which Judge loves.

Yankees just lost 2 of 3 to the O's a week ago...

Which is completely inexcusable. They just gave up 33 runs in like 6 innings to the Jays. The Yankees get the three worst teams in the AL (including today's game), and they get CLeveland. Judge should feast on these yummy cupcakes. I expect at least five homers from Judge this week. Judge hitting that homer was predictable as the sun setting in the west.

Cardinals take over wildcard spot.

My Reds choking, what else is new? Almost as predictable as Judge hitting a home run at Camden Yards.

Always have been a Reds fan; I have mentioned this before. I do root for Aaron Judge, though.

Reds seemed to have decided they’re tired and don’t want to play anymore.

This is every year, and when we do make the playoffs, we lose immediately. Just like the Bengals (2015-16 AFC playoffs was the icing on the cake). Why do my teams perpetually suck?

Yep I’m in the same boat you are. It’s like they realize if they make the playoffs they have to work a little bit longer.

How about Texas A&M in football? :)
