Howard's career high in PPG is 22.9. Davis has averaged 23.6 PPG for his career. AD is a far better offensive talent than Howard ever was.

Both are/were great players. Combining them with a ball dominant/aging superstar is not a great combination.

He literally couldn't get the Lakers in playoff contention when he returned from injury last season. All they needed to do was have a winning record and they bombed.

It's not like it was due to him playing poorly. The team chemistry was wrecked.

That shouldn't be the case this season.

We saw this song and dance in 2013 with Kobe and Dwight. It doesn't end well.

The Lakers were 3 to 1 favorites to win the title only behind the Heat at 5/2.

People get caught up in the nostalgia of a once great player like Kobe or LeBron but completely forget about them being 34 or 35 years old and well out of their prime.

Ignoring the fact that Lebron is a much better player than Kobe and AD is a much better player than Dwight-

If there is one thing I’ve learned- it’s that if a situation happens once, then that’s definitely a big enough sample size to conclude a mildly similar situation will end the exact same way

LeBron averaged the fewest mpg in his career last year and had ppg, apg and rpg above his career averages.

Your hate blinds you.

I hope you’re right, but your steadfast prediction that the lakers landing the 4th pick meant AD wouldn’t be traded there didn’t age well

Yet he couldn’t drag that lakers team to the playoffs.

LeBron was poor defensively last year. Statistically players nosedive when they hit 34,35,36 range.

They’ve got a one year window to get it done while KD and Klay are out.

KD rupturing his Achilles changed everything. AD was NY bound before that happened.

WOW

Pelicans got over. Not only did they get serviceable young players who give you depth and points/minutes, but you get a top4 pick and 2 more 1st rounders you can package for a player or 2 move up in other draft.

And you get the #1 pick already.

He missed a third of the season. That makes an impact.

It’s more likely they’ll be back in the lottery.

AD will never play. His knees are going to be worn out from sucking LeBron’s tiny cock.

Yeah, except that didn't happen. He came back 1/31 vs the Clippers.

How did KD come back when he came back healthy in the finals?
