While many in Tallahassee are still waiting for their cable provider to jump on board, the network landed one of its big targets Wednesday when Charter/Spectrum agreed to terms to carry the ACC Network.

Charter/Spectrum is the second-largest distributor in the ACC footprint. It is available in Florida in the Orlando and Tampa areas and is also available in ACC markets including North and South Carolina, New York and Louisville.

While a number of providers have agreed to terms to carry the network, a number of key providers have not yet agreed to terms.

Comcast, Century Link, Dish Network and Frontier Communications are the main providers who have not yet struck deals to carry the ACC Network.

The list of providers who have agreed to carry the network in Tallahassee includes Hulu Live, Youtube TV, Playstation Vue and DIRECTV.

Not mentioned in that but Verizon Fios also has it.

Does anyone watch this shite unless it’s football or basketball games?

For any conference?

I want to say baseball is a big thing for the SECN but they put most of those games on the streaming only SEC+ so I doubt it

Ahh yea I don’t watch college baseball so didn’t think about that

But among all the minor college sports (college baseball included) its just here for football and basketball games
But the big games will be on national networks right?

we aren't really hearing much of anything. I have comcast, and if I call them up to threaten cancellation, they try and direct me to the ACC Extra streaming service. Bitch, that's not the ACC network.

The Georgia Tech head FB coach and AD both have comcast, and they have supposedly been making calls to try and use the extremely little influence that they have lol

Side note: I wish the PAC 12 Network could come to an agreement with Directv

They are pushing it in New York as Syracuse, team of New York. Bad enough Big Ten here with the Rut. Don’t mess with my SEC

I watch the SECN about as much as anything during the conference basketball and baseball seasons.

The consensus appears to be that Comcast et al are simply engaging in hardball negotiations to get the best price. Many carriers may not be signed before the Clemson v GaTech game but may catch hell after that game if Clemson and Tech folks are able to watch the game. FSU is one early as well. My guess is that the cable companies will fall into line.

The back up plan by the ACC has schedule league basketball games for the first of November for the first time ever. The thought is that if football doesn’t pressure the companies into signing deals with the ACCN, then the start of basketball surely will.

Clarification

New York area

Big Ten Network because of Rutgers
Syracuse has local advertising it as the team of New York, thus ACC.
We get the SEC network as it’s the best.
