He's a big dude but at 6'1" 245 he isn't Hercules like you are making him out to be.

If someone wants to frick him up (or frick him) in prison they will. There are some bad dudes where he will be going.

I agree with the poser aspect, but he has been suspected of being around gangs going back to his days in HS. This was sort of known around Connecticut where he was a star of stars coming out of HS. Was committed to UConn, and then his pops died, and he up and chose the Gators against his mom's will. I guess we may know why she wanted to keep him close now.

I also find it interesting that NOT ONE of Hernandez's hundreds of former teammates has come out supporting him, claiming he is a good guy, saying they are surprised this happened, etc. Not one.

Would you want that media backlash?

No, but if you believed in a guy (at one time or another even) you'd maybe say "wow, I am just really surprised at all this. That's not the guy I trained with and was close to in the locker room."

You may not say "I support him", but certainly some might express shock or surprise.

I'm certain Wes Welker won't be one to come out in support of Hernandez.

Aaron Hernandez threatened Wes Welker as a rookie

quote:

It didn’t take long for Hernandez’s quick temper to be revealed at Gillette Stadium. According to an NFL source, within days of being drafted, Hernandez was at the team facility trying to watch film.

When he couldn’t figure out how to use the equipment, he asked how it worked, but got no answer. When Wes Welker walked by the room, Hernandez asked for his help, but Welker said, "Rookie, you figure it out."

Hernandez responded with expletives.

and it gets better:

quote:

re Welker/Hernandez interaction frm story: Hernandez's response was "f--- you Wes, I'll f--- you up!"

Glad to see Hernandez was making friends even as a rookie.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Pats advised their players to not touch this. They likely want to keep their involvement and team name to a minimum.

Because blood is red and sweat and tears are not.

Or, it is a subtle gang tat for the second most popular street gang in CT (behind the Latin Kings).

Hell no. Urban has to stay as far away from this as possible. If his name is attached to Hernandez all the recruits he sells on SEC players getting into trouble will realize that he recruited most of them.

I'm almost ashamed of this but I'm siding with the alleged triple murderer on this one.

Anybody think the defense team brings up NFL concussions with Aaron?

The word "circumstantial" will be tossed around a lot by the defense and analogized to "weak". But most evidence in criminal cases is circumstantial. And all of it could be circumstantial the case be completely airtight for the prosecution.

It's gotta be a major humbling experience knowing you got away with shooting a guy in the face and thinking you can do it again and get away with it and then waking up today knowing you didn't get away with it, got denied bail and will never see the outside of a prison for the rest of your life.
