You can get mad or you can just realize that the NFC East is king. Also, don't base anything on the previous season. That stuff flips quickly and next thing you know, the G-Men are 10-6 and the Jags 6-10.

No matter how terrible the Giants might become and how great the Jags might become, the Giants market will always make more money.

It is what it is.

Why are people shocked about this every year? You realize that the New York Giants are one of the most popular teams in the league right?

The Giants, steelers, cowboys, packers, patriots, and broncos will get primetime games no matter how bad they are.

They sure were fun to watch when they were beating Pittsburgh into a pulp last year. It's a loaded roster that gagged away a trip to the Super Bowl last year. Just a tad better than the 2-14 Giants

Very true. But I do feel that the nfl is the one sport where good entertaining smaller market team will pull comparable viewers to the shite big market team...especially later in the season amongst the national audience.

By doing shite like this, the NFL is guaranteeing that all the mouthbreathers like the guy you're responding to will never care about the Jaguars.

They took away the Jags home game with the Super Bowl champs and gave it to London, and then TV ignored them with their schedules. Does the league office hate them more than Sean Payton?

And I'm sorry, there is NOTHING interesting about a 13-10 "NFC East Showdown" between two 3-8 teams with 8 turnovers. It's all in the presentation. The NFL could make the Jaguars "intersting" to the dubmass casual fans if they even remotely tried.

Dallas and NYG are the two largest markets in football.

Not one week last season would I have preferred to watch the Giants over the Jags.

Exactly. Most of the country doesn't give a rat's arse about watching the Saints or Falcons.

His point stands though. Atlanta and New Orleans are regional teams, whereas the networks push Dallas and NYG as if they are national teams. Jacksonville was so much more entertaining to watch than either of them, yet most of the country didn't see a Jags game until they were beating the shite out of Pittsburgh (for a second time last year) in the divisional round.

For all these people who claim that they "know" that the Jaguars aren't as interesting or can't possibly get higher ratings, how do you know what you know? How do you know they're boring if you've literally never watched them? And how do we get a chance to find out if they're not boring if they never get a chance to be showcased nationally?
