#20 BYU has looked impressive in their first two wins of the season, both on the road. They have a physicality to them that is nasty. Looking at their schedule, they could easily run the table. What would their chacnes be at the 4 team playoff? Also, why has the Big 12 not added BYU yet? Seems like a great fit to me. Anyway, here is their schedule:

@Uconn W 35-10
@Texas W 41-7
Houston W 33-25
Virginia W 41-33
Utah St
@UCF
Nevada
@Boise St
@Middle Tennessee St
UNLV
Savannah St
@California

Thats what being Independent gets you. Like i said, they should be in the Big 12 or PAC 12. There is no reason why the shouldnt be. They have great history and a great following as well.

keep winning games like that, go undefeated and hope somebody they beat has a great season otherwise... they might take the "Big XII spot" in the playoffs since we all know the B1G won't send a team

I don't think BYU gets along with some of those Pac 12 schools, mainly Cal and Stanford.

You do realize these are 2 different conferences?

No BYU vs. Utah? I guess the "Holy War" was another casualty of conference realignment.

You do realize they've won a National Championship within the last 30 years, right?

well duh...

the B1G won't send a team unless Michigan St. wins out and wins the B1G, so the other four P5 conferences "have" spots right now.

if they go undefeated and the Big XII Champion has 2 losses (and especially if Texas wins the XII), the committee will be like "hmmmm, BYU or the (Big XII Champion)

They are playing Cal the last game of the year. Religious reasons or not, they should be in either the Big 12 or the PAC 12.

They should be wherever they feel right.

They want to be an Indy and are in WCC for other sports.

They have a network, they play national recognized opponents, have an auto bowl tie in.

For now, i keep saying this about Notre Dame and the Big 12 needing to expand. Once these schools see how important it is to be in a conference and have a championship game, they will all make moves. The selection committee has already stated that strength of schedule and championship games are going to factor heavily into who they select for the playoffs. If BYU wants to be in the playoff discussion, being Indpendent in the long run wont help their chances. I think that BYU and the Big 12 need each other, they just dont know it yet.

Obviously they would need to go undefeated and get help from Texas, UVA, UCF, and Cal.

It's 9/8, too early to count them out.

Notre Dame is de facto ACC they are obligated to schedule 5 a year with ACC

BYU plays whoever whenever they can and won't need to move as their bowl tie in is good enough for them.

I don't think they will go undefeated. They have to be unbeaten to be considered.

I also didn't notice a ranked team on their schedule. IF they do go undefeated they should get in. I would like to see BYU in the Big 12. With 1 more addition they could play a championship game again.
