Thanks for running the contest and I will definitely throw in a few bucks next year.

You had quite an end-of-season run there. Three wins, another podium, and then two duds.
This is a tough championship!

Thank you for your service.

I'm seeing rumors that Darth Helmut is out at Redbull? The end of an era.

Watched the race last night.
Holy hell they need to change where the season finale is held. Waaaaaaay too much potential drama on the line for the race to be held at a no passing allowed track.

Anyone have some way too early predictions with the new package next year?
I'm hoping that it gets a little more racy and less processional but I admit I haven't been looking into any of the information on changes. I will take recommendations on information to learn about them if anyone has any.

True. Give it to Qatar or something then.
Happy for Lando though. Stuck it out with McLaren and it paid off.
Max was pretty gracious in defeat. On the radio he said "Don't be disappointed, I'm not disappointed." I thought that was pretty cool. Seemed happy for Lando after.
Piasri, not so much
He has been pretty salty the last couple weeks.

I'm keeping expectations low. Some pretty big PU changes that will take a minute to sort out: Decreasing ICE output, increasing electrical output, increasing regen, and removing the MGU-H. Oh, and sustainable fuels. We'll see.

Curious how competitive Cadillac will be in their first year. Also if Audi will be a boost and be more competitive. Hopefully Williams continues to improve.

All the clickbait sites will make up shite based on off-hand comments and language-barrier misinterpretations. No one really knows who might have an advantage. That being said, we can probably make predictions based on recent history.
I think with the new regs, Mercedes and some of its customer teams (McLaren, Williams) should be considered the early-season favorites.
Ferrari could be in the mix, but it also feels like they are more prone to growing pains with a new rule book.
No idea about Aston Martin and Honda. Honda could bomb like their ill-fated partnership with McLaren, or be strong out of the box like when they switched to Red Bull. With Adrian Newey at Aston Martin, this could be a strong partnership from the beginning.
The biggest question mark to me is Red Bull Ford Powertrains. It wouldn't surprise anyone if they struggle the most at the start of the season.

Most of the talking heads are seeing this as a power train formula and giving Merc and Ferrari the early edge.
Won't truly know until that first quali round.

I’m hoping Caddy is a good mid field team for its first year

Didn’t Max have an out clause if Marko wasn’t with Red Bull?
Posted on 12/8/25 at 5:58 pm to MikeD
There used to be. It was removed last year right after it made the news. There was some talk that only Marko and Max knew about the clause and once Red Bull found out they had it removed. Not sure if that is true.

TouchedTheAxeIn82, thanks for runningbthe challenge. Your results post was a must see for me after each race. I'll kick in some $ for next year.
What does this do to his legacy in regards to the GOAT argument? Its a bad look for sure. Mother time catches up with us all, but he fell off a cliff while Kimi in the Merc, Sainz in a Williams and Leclerc all got multiple podiums this year.
