Yankees are historically good; they will flirt with 116, if not exceed that win total. They have an MVP player that’s having a career, if not historic year (Judge). They are winning a ton of close games (10 walk-offs); are a +36 in unearned runs, and teams seem to go full retard late when they do have the chance to beat them. I still think the Yankees win 115-120 games if everyone stays healthy. But the Rays and Astros pissed away several wins over the last couple of weeks.

Great pitching > Great hitting.

For not being a Yankees fan you have an insanely weird obsession with a good not great team

Still a long season to determine if they are merely good or great, still on pace for a great season

No doubt, should have said all-time great team as the caveat

No, not even close. If the Yankees were like those Warriors, they would have won at least one of the two they lost.

Gotta wait and see, great teams need a struggle especially in baseball. The 98 Yankees were a great team but because they won the whole thing which is why people forget about the Mariners.

Astros bettered the Yankees for 33 innings but those 3 the Yankees got the best were enough for a split. Last year's Yankees would have been swept so this team is better than last year's imo

Except they won’t even win their league/conference

Just because this team is better than last years doesn’t make them great, they just have grittier pieces. They are as flawed as any contender in baseball right now.

Just because they struggled in one series also doesn't make them "good" or "overrated" as some have said, we still have half a season and the playoffs to play to see where they fall.

I can’t tell if you are a troll or just weird/crazy. Something seems not right with you.

Also, baseball ain’t basketball. Being a regular season juggernaut and winning a million games doesn’t mean you will win a damn thing in the playoffs.

So you're saying Judge will be shut down by some midget from Australia in game 7 of the World Series?

I’m not basing my take off of one series, I think they are a good team, probably a hair or two better than Houston, I’m just saying nothing about them scream great like OP suggested.

Only the OP is, of course he also stated Judge would hit like 80 home runs this season as well.
I'm just stating it is still too early to determine if this is a great, good, or overrated team.

It’s June. Anything can happen. Judge and Stanton are both injury prone. Torres is prob out indefinitely now. Or everyone can just stay healthy from here on out and rake. No one knows.
