Middle of the field looking good. Mclaren somehow giving Alpine a fight.

Had it not been stuck in gear they could have rolled in back quickly.

And just as quickly with the telehandler.

Even RB saying today was the polar opposite of what happened last year

Everyone agrees FIA is inconsistent as can be.

I wonder if someone has compared the number of overtakes in 2021 to 2022.

The 2022 car was much heralded. Has it lived up to the hype? It certainly bounces alot.

God Mick got so screwed. He was in a great position to hunt points.

The ONE time Haas is actually on the right strategy

All races should finish with racing unless there is some extreme circumstances like death or something

It's the one thing nascar got right. Green/White/Checker finishes.

If they have to add fuel, then have a premeasured cup and make them all pit. Enough fuel for 3 laps.

I'll let it go when Horner lets it go

Also, will never stop calling out the FIA on their inconsistencies

Not the most exciting race...

Drivers are avoiding wheel to wheel racing perhaps due to cost cap concerns or just pragmatism.

Even if it's a faster car, at least battle for a corner or two to give the people a show before you effectively yield the position...

Can any of you smart guys figure out what has to happen for Max to clinch the WDC in Austin. I’m going this year and it would be awesome to see him
Clinch it live.

after lec is 5 secs ahead Ferrari will double stack him behind sainz to drop him to 5th. This is known as the monaco strategy

Looks like they went for the Monza strategy of replacing softs about 10 laps too early just because there was a virtual safety and Ferrari thought they HAD to do something, when they could have simply done nothing and it would have been perfectly acceptable.

Tremendous bad luck. A couple of DNFs. He likely clinches it in Singapore.

I'm guessing it'll happen in Japan. WDC and WCC should both be decided by Austin

Very possible. I believe next week max needs around 22 points over leclerc to clinch, so it could go on a few more races.I’d love to be there too.

Doing nothing guaranteed a loss.

They probably figured it was a long shot but it's surely better than doing absolutely nothing when you know you can't win and the pit stop won't hurt you in any way.
