They need to just go in and give it to Chubb. Finished 2nd in rushing yards missing 3 games and riding the bench in the stupidest moments.

Diggs at CB is hilariously bad.

He's literally a shitty version of JC Jackson.

Lol @ Diggs

He’s not even a top 10 CB in the league

Diggs could end up being a top flight player in the league obviously, but his season reminds me a lot of Trent Richardson’s rookie year where if you look at the raw stats you go “wow that’s amazing” then you realize a lot of it is terribly inefficient and unsustainable and the fall out makes a lot more sense.

Not arguing he’s Trent Richardson, just that we sometimes can’t let our brains see past the traditional stats for the big picture

What’s wild is it wasn’t a very well kept secret or you didn’t have to dive very deep to see that Diggs was arse, a lot.

Pretty much anytime a talking head would mention his INTs it would be followed with, “but man, he’s got to be more consistent because he’s on his way to giving up 30,000 yards passing this year.”

I figured the voters were better than that.

JC Jackson is basically Diggs if Diggs could cover at an elite level along with the ball skills. Voters getting a little too caught up in the high INT total

Diggs actually had one of the worst CB seasons in history outside of the interceptions

Not one vote for Joe? So Joe is going to be 2nd or 3rd in the MVP voting but doesn't make the Pro Bowl or All Pro?

Chase was a better WR than Deebo. Deebo had a great all purpose season.

Honeybadger only got one vote. He needs another All Pro to help his HOF case.

Oh no the lead leaguer in picks is an all pro!

If someone can give me a distinct breakdown in how these stat guys know what diggs’ responsibility is on every play and how they differentiate between who gave up yards in holes in zone then I’ll look into it.

Y’all realize that voters look at yards from scrimmage for offensive skill players right? As they should. Great players are used in multiple ways.

It’s why Deebo is on this list and why Alvin Kamara makes the Pro Bowl every year.

PFF already has

Tl,dr: diggs gives up way too many yards, has the most penalties for a cb, and

quote:

He ranks 98th out of the 100 corners who have played 100 or more snaps at outside corner in yards allowed per coverage snap.

So of course the poster above that's always wrong is, shockingly, wrong.

Yeah… but interceptions kinda make up for some of it… same as a DE losing on 80% of passing play snaps getting 14 sacks in a season… the sacks kinda make him elite regardless of the times he didn’t even pressure the QB

2-3 extra season INTs isn’t going to make up for hundreds of yards of difference in yards allowed.

Well you’ve kind of told on yourself here by using the logic that sacks are the best indication of pass rush, when in fact its similar to INTs in how fluky it can be and how correlated it is to being a good defender (which is to say there is not a big correlation)

Serious question with likely no real answer: How do you differentiate the Long Snappers? They are all amazing except probably at the very bottom. Is it something like tackles or downing punts?
There is probably someone out there tracking the average time between initial motion of the snap and the boot hitting the ball. Taking out roll out punts probably does a decent job of showing how effective your LS is

Like I mentioned in another post, they incorporate receiving yards for a Running Back all the time
Because catching passes is and honestly always has been part of the running back position

Getting handoffs is not part of the WR position, and like I said, it’s not comparable yardage in this situation

I wouldn’t consider yards receiving for my QB pick either . This feels equivalent to that. Rushing yards is not a WR stat st all, where as rushing yards has long been baked in for QBs and catching passes has long been baked in for running backs
