I’ll never understand how someone can call themselves a baseball fan but never watch college.

This weekend is why I love watching college baseball. Honestly rarely bother watching Majors.

There is nothing better than a mid major college baseball team full of upper classmen dirt bags with little pro potential.

Basically, Coastal Carolina

And those dirtbags won themselves a World Series vs a bunch of $70 Million plus athletic budget programs.

Midweek vs LA Tech and LSU.

I’d feel pretty darn good if we go 1-1 during this week.

They aren't.

I don't think this is a .500 team.

I don’t think Tulane is some great team but they would have to fall really far to finish below .500

Baseball America had them as a 3 seed in BR Regional in their preseason projections and D1Baseball had them missing the tournament. I tend to side with D1Baseball in this case, but if they finish below .500 that would be worse than I could have imagined.

@Mississippi State is three losses, and then the 4-game series in conference will kill them, because a lot of those 3rd and 4th games are going to be slugfests, and I don't think Tulane has the offense to win many of those games.

Yea, very likely.

You could be right but the offense wasn’t that bad this weekend IMO. They had 20 hits today.
Were a couple of pitches from winning the series, couple pitches from getting swept. Very close series

I consider dirtbag a compliment in baseball. They are gamers.

This Cajuns-Tulane weekend has been fun. Good all around baseball. Pitching, hitting and fielding.

Yep...very good games to watch. Pretty rare, I think for all 3 of a series to go to extra innings. Nice to see UL hang in there to take the series.

But I heard that Degg's thought was to pitch as many arms as possible this weekend, to give everyone some time on the mound...regardless of how it impacted the series. Which I kind of like.

But not sure how much I like the impact it will have on the games this week, lol. Like someone said, will be happy if we pull out at least 1 win, hopefully agaisnt lsu.

Tech has had the upper hand in mid week games against Cajuns the last couple of years. Hopefully we have some arms left for tomorrow night

I'd expect all three of us (Cajuns, LA Tech, LSU) to throw a bunch of different arms this midweek to figure out who can do what. RPIs will already get a boost merely by playing these games (at least LA Tech & UL's).

I wouldn't be surprised to see Deggs throw another true freshman out there on the mound to start and see how he responds since both LA Tech and LSU should be pretty darn good teams this season. Baptism by fire.

I would bet Spencer Arrigheti will start one game unless he's hurt. He's been mentioned as a starter this year.
