2014 Acadiana at Ponchatoula football

This one was a heartbreaker. Our best team ever (10-0 and never trailed until this game, with most games being over by halftime) lost at home to a 6-4 Acadiana team that had a LB playing QB. Who else remembers this game?

was this the year acadiana had to forfeit a bunch of games at the beginning of the season and entered the playoffs as a really low seed when they were actually the best team?

That was 2010. 2014 Acadiana was a true 15 seed, which made our loss even worse.

Yeah I actually don't remember shite. I graduated in 07 and just look at the final scores. I think I remember people being worried about y'all.

Not as bad as the next year. Turf shoes in a frog pond...what could go wrong? That was an all time WM team and you pulled the big upset. So congrats on that.

Thanks! It was our best win ever, no doubt. But West Monroe is a blue blood and will always have title shots every few years or so. With Ponchatoula, 2014 was likely our best and only chance.

Kevin moore was a stud for Acadiana. beast linebacker then converted him to QB to run the veer and he was awesome in the playoffs

2015: we reached the quarters but it took everything going right for us to beat West Monroe. We could’ve gotten to the dome (Ehret game was close until the 4th quarter) but we weren’t beating Lindsey Scott’s Zachary team.
2016: nobody was beating Landry-Walker. Nobody. That and we completely folded after Jakyle Holmes went down against Acadiana.
2017: we just sucked. Couldn’t even beat Hammond.

My oldest bro played on a 10-0 West Jeff team in 2004 that beat Higgins in week 10 by like a million and then lost to them 12-2 in the first round of the playoffs a week later
