Right now the forecast for Minneapolis is calling for 4-8 inches of snow from Friday afternoon into Saturday morning, then transitioning to a rain/snow mix for the game. It’s going to be sloppy.

Advantage Wisco.

Iowa showed two weeks ago that Minny doesn’t want to play a grind it out kinda game. Badgers by a td or more

I pick Minnesota by 10.

Hope Wisconsin can get some pressure and get a few missed passes on defense.

Offensively the line needs to win the LOS and Taylor needs to hold onto the rock. Will the surface be conductive for the jet sweeps?

Should look pretty cool on TV with the snow and the atmosphere.

It will probably be snowing during college gameday that morning, too.

Resurrecting this thread now that Minneapolis is officially under a winter storm warning from tonight through Sunday at noon - projecting 6-10 inches of snow with wind gusts of 40 mph. Eric Decker is the guest picker for gameday. Gophers by 10.

Agreed, and who got the bright idea to build an outdoor stadium for fricking Minneapolis? They should play in the same place as the Vikings

This will be an interesting game.

On the one hand, Minnesota has two NFL receivers capable of making plays against Wisconsin’s above-average CBs.

On the other hand, Minnesota has beaten just two teams with a winning record, gone against several (7? 8?) backup QBs, and hasn’t played in a game with these stakes... ever.

I’ll believe the weather plays a factor when I see it — Rashod Bateman and Tyler Johnson can ball. Of course, TCF always sees plenty of red and Jonathan Taylor is the best player on the field.

No outcome would surprise me.

I grew up going to Gopher games indoors at the metrodome. It sucked.

Ok, I'm living in this stuff right now as I'm in South Dakota. They've shut down I-90 in the entire Western half of the state to the Wyoming border. It's a flipping mess and it's headed right for Minneapolis. Should be fun and weather WILL be a factor.

I predict Wisconsin wins. This game will be played like a fist fight in a phone booth and the Badgers live for that.

Why, you weren't at risk of hypothermia?

I know what the weather is all about right now — plenty of friends throughout MSP that will be at TCF tomorrow. Perhaps my post read differently than intended.

Simply, Tyler Johnson and a Rashod Bateman are NFL players. They’re very, very good. I’m not sold weather will kill their effectiveness until I see it, especially since Wisconsin’s CBs are not very talented.

ETA: the one worry I have with weather is Wisconsin’s carelessness with the ball. Turnovers have been an issue, especially with Jonathan Taylor.

I think whoever wins the turnover battle wins the game. I agree, no outcome will surprise me.

Is it forecast to blow and snow during the game? If so, it will be fun to watch.

To the person with the dome comment. Football is meant to be played outside in the weather.

A win for Minny probably puts them in the Rose Bowl regardless of what happens in Indy.
