In honor of the Texas Tech event from last night, I think we need to pause and remember one of the greatest fights in the history of professional sports. Hard to believe it's been almost 10 years. I remember watching the highlights from it on SportsCenter that night.

Loved games between those teams. Very intense defensive battles. You knew those teams were gonna have an altercation eventually. Just not to that extent...

It was a Friday night. I was at a high school football game when it happened. Came back home, turned on ESPN, and that fight was they were talking about.

I had no idea Artest dropped a DET fan who tried to approach him on the court.

**O'Neal

I loved that part. You can see Artest's body language of "oh, you want some too"?

and then Jackson slides in and clocks that dude at the end.

Artest? Or Jermaine O'Neal. JO almost killed that fat guy who came on the court. If not for JO slipping...

Edit: Nevermind just re-watched the video. I didn't remember about Artest fighting that guy on the court. I only remembered JO knocking that guy out.

Now since that day the nba acts like they give a shite about the fans and they shove it down our throats with that "NBA cares" shite.

If JO doesn't slip on that punch he could have killed that dude. I remember watching this live too and couldn't believe it was going down. Plus Ben Wallace pushed the shite out of artest. Wallace is all that is man.
