Who do you have a policy with and what is your average price per month? Trying to price shop in Baton Rouge but want a good company.

I just recently switched everything from Farmers to State Farm. Homeowners was cut by 25%, auto was cut by 50%. Shop around.

just always shop it. you will hear people switching from here to there and saving money. most insurance companies do that then slowly push premium up.
independents are always a good option since they will always have multiple companies. state farm can get it low, but won't have another option for you.
typically i leave mine alone unless the premium jump is absurd.

If you're in LA, your Hurricane policy premium is about to increase to 5%

State Farm. $3,800/yr. W/H deductible of 7%. This is with multiple policies (Home/Life/Auto/Articles/Umbrella). And it aint getting any lower. It's fricking expensive to live.

I've gotten quotes from Fourrier Agency Inc $1800, State Farm $1602, and Farm Bureau Louisiana $1503 but they will only write if I include my vehicle at $680 for 6 months.

Could anyone tell me if $308 a month through USAA in Uptown NOLA sounds right?
My flood is awesome at $412 a year.

I've got my homeowners and auto with State Farm. I get a bundle discount. But to be honest, I didn't shop around when I went with them. My family's been with the same agent for decades and I just followed suit.

Flood is not written by private companies, but by the NFIP. National Flood Insurance Program.
No company can write a flood policy, but they can issue them through the gov't. Depending on your flood zone, your rate will change. I bet if you ask your neighbors, their's will be the exact same.

I just switched my house and cars to GEICO. Saved me over $1000.00 from Safeco.

Chubb and AIG offer private flood insurance outside of the NFIP.

USAA, just over $1300 per year. 5 year old house and one claim.
House is insured for $295K, not counting land of course. 2 % deductibles.
Live south of I-10.

GEICO
Did you know that 15 mins can save you......nevermind!
But Safeco is who I have. No % of home deductible per named storm nonsense. Just a flat 1k deductible regardless of what happens.
