Want it to be as liquid as possible and low risk as possible with at least 5% return. What comes to mind? Muni bonds? Corp bonds? HY div stocks? Any other ideas?

If I had to pick one blue chip equity - T
If I had to pick one reit - CIM (after it cools off a bit)

But yeah, those pimco bonds are pretty good for that type of return.

5% return with very low risk isn’t going to happen.

High yield or floating rate will get your in the 5% yield range. Your principal will fluctuate but in terms of market risk, that’s the lowest you can have to hit the 5% mark IMO.

MINT at 2.65% return is the best you're going to do low risk that I've found. My floating rate funds (BGT and PPR) are yielding around 5% but eroding at about the same rate. Now at some point that erosion will turn around but when?

JPM. Might be a little riskier than you want but if you keep your money in it for a few years I’d be surprised if you don’t end up with 5% per year or more. Also carries a nice dividend, they recently increased it. Liquid.
