Ouch

BKH
STWD
I stupidly own ET and KMI
Looking at some other REITs with exposure to healthcare. I'm staying away from mortgage exposure for the time being. Could be major dip buying opportunity after the new year.

Depends on when you bought it, it would not be a horrible pick right now IMHO if you are looking for something to buy , hold, and DRIP.

If you bought prior to the Spring of 2015 ouch though

There is the distinct possibility this is the return to normal and the hyper inflated prices of the last few decades will not return, not saying this is true but it is just as possible as $150 BBL anytime soon.

CIM is overvalued right now, per this morning's article by SeekingAlpha. Says wait to fallback in $18 range.

I'm not surprised by that. I bought it for 10% repeating, not for 23% ytd gains.

The entire REIT sector is high. If a pull back occurs then I'm just buying more shares with the dividend.

long term I am a SO fan.

SO is overpriced in the $60's and the PSC is finally starting to act like they have some balls regarding SO's ridiculous requests for permanent fixed monthly fee increases to residential and commercial accounts, rate hikes, ash clean up of coal plants, etc. Big push back from commercial accounts. And that never ending nuke build out.

I moved some funds and just bought a lot of LTC (pays monthly dividend).
Added to CONE, D, KEY, and IVR in the last nine months. Three are Reits.

What do you get for income tax reporting for REITS? Is it a 1099 DIV form? I think one year I was sent a Sch. K-1.

Didn't NRZ take a massive haircut? It's probably a good time to buy. Back in July when yields were inverting NRZ was big time trouble but the secondary market has normalized again.

Any opinions on:
Mo
Pm
BP
F
Rdsb

All yielding around 6% in somewhat beat up sectors. Not looking to trade, just buy and hold for a while.

re: What dividend players are you guys looking at?
I like MO, bought in at $44. Could go to $60 within a year.
ABBV has lots of room to grow, recently bought under 80, expect continued appreciation, possibly $110 next year.
I also own some BDC's including ARCC, MAIN, and NEWT.
I own some NRZ, but only after trading down to get it at a lower price as it declined.
I also own IRM, it has lagged, not sure if I will keep it, may switch funds to oil/gas.
I recently started buying back into MLP's after selling at a higher point, they are likely somewhere around a bottom, but it may be some time before they rally. In the meantime I am enjoying their high dividends.

Ones I own mostly for appreciation include BABA, and VGT, an etf.

Should be a 1099. K-1s are for partnerships/limited partnerships. I believe that a dividend from a REIT is not a qualified dividend though so it is taxed at ordinary income rates. Someone here will correct me if I am wrong about that.
