Bought immediately after the IPO. Took some loss last year, and it’s bounced back a little. Anybody in it? Thinking about dumping, and moving it elsewhere.

I bought after the IPO too. It then went down to about 25 cents and I then bought a boat load when Covid started. I then sold at $4 a share. Covid saved this company for now, but I don't see waitr competing with Doordash and uber eats in the long run. Your best option is to sell in my opinion.

Same, except I sold a little earlier around $3.50.

Their best asset is the tech they have developed. They've been approached by competitors looking to just buy that portion of the company within the last year. They are also rolling out contactless tech for dine-in.

From what I know and have read it feels like the new CEO is trying to get them in position to either be acquired or to license their tech to competitors.

I missed the bottom but got in at 1.30 and hoping to get out over 5. I'm thinking it gets there if we go back on lockdown.

I also bought it early on and I'm down bigly on it. Still holding onto it. My initial thought was that Doordash or one of the bigger national companies might buy it and jack up the price. Still hoping that happens. For the time being, I'm gonna keep riding it b/c I don't need the money at this point to put into anything else.

I’m kicking myself for not being more aware this past spring. Could have put a few thousand in and gotten my money back then some

Yeah, I wish I would have doubled or tripled down when it was below $1.00 so I could have gotten out at this point with at least breaking even, if not making a few bucks. But I did that on a different stock once - kept riding the drops and getting more and more stock and praying for a big rebound so I could finally break even and cash out. Dumb on my part and I ended up loosing way, way more than I should. Funny thing, I just sold that one today. Figured I could take the few hundred I had left in it and put them into some of AT's penny stocks. At this point, I consider the whole thing a loss anyway.

I decide to try out the gig economy a couple years back for some extra money, specifically delivery (DoorDash, Postmates, and BiteSquad, which Waitr had bought). Now maybe BiteSquad's technology was different than Waitr's, but of the 3 it was by far the least impressive and most archaic. In fact, everything they did was.

In other words, I am quite skeptical that their tech and/or data are going to be useful for the much larger competitors, with better tech and better data.

I’ve wasted a couple years in the market dicking around with individual stocks I knew little about. I’d forget about it and miss some really good swings. Now I invest in 2 things:
Growth focused etf’s and mutual funds
And
Small amounts in stocks I read about on this board.

I’ve learned (obvious I know) that leaving money in the market in an index fund will out run performance of individual stock picking. At least for me
