Weekly gasoline supplied, an indicator of demand, rose by 549,000 barrels a day, the most since May.

Valero Energy Corp. said in its first quarter earnings conference call that it sees gasoline demand to recover gradually, along with jet fuel at a slower pace.

Yeah I’m up big on the week on MRO. Tempted to sell and take the profit. Do y’all think this run continues for oil?

i have 3 oil related stocks: VLO,MRO, XOM.
The only one really doing well is VLO. I dont think XOM and MRO are magically gonna just shoot up over the next few weeks but i plan on keeping those two for a while. VLO not sure where this one is going but it cant keep going up this fast without a downturn soon i would imagine.

MPC has been great. Got in at $23, and doubled my position this morning at $30. I feel like an idiot after the fact when I buy something that’s already up 5% for the day, but this mf’er went up 11% more after I bought it today.

I bought some Valero stock at $43. Good day indeed. Now I regret not buying more. I actually was going to buy additional stock this past Monday but saw they had an earnings report coming out at the end of the week, so I wanted to hold off. Leaning heavy on buying more by Friday. Good dividend payment too.

I bought a lot of VLO between 33 - 40, feel alright at that price. I think most of the big gains are done at this point, just going to hold long term as management seems to want to keep the dividend which they had recently increased before all this shite blew up and has managed well through this period. I was crazy enough to pick up 4,800 units of EPD in the 13 - 17.xx range, probably going to hold longer term on it, too. Also ENB, which I got when SE was acquired by ENB. Have a very diversified portfolio, so it's not going to keep me up at night. I almost pulled the trigger on EOG 2 weeks ago and finally decided enough oil sector exposure. My biggest losses this year have been international ETFs I bought in prior years, sometimes I really wonder about supposed long term diversification benefits.

You’re probably right, but you never know. May 1 is when OPEC+ cuts back production, and I think the US and Canada will cut back more than what’s expected which could cause another bump. And not that I would ever wish it, but the worse our relations get with Iran and China the better the energy sector looks

I have the same dilemma. APA is up 140% - meaning I could sell half my shares and get my original investment back while still having the original value.

Tempting but there's still a lot of upside for it to recover.

I’m overweight in energy and was discussing this with a buddy today- told him we had a quick pop when that stuff was going down with Iran a few months back, we need trump to assassinate another Iranian.
