We are not going back to the March 23rd lows. Convince me otherwise. Cases in NYC have plateaued. Social distancing has worked great in California. Denmark is reopening schools for smaller kids.

Most places won't be open for business for another month or two. This won't be a V. More like a W.

I'll believe it when I see it. Hope you are right, but I'm still waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Hope you're right but doubt it.

Serious question.. What do you think happens when quarantine is lifted? I dont see a scenario where cases dont spike again once we go back to work. Im in the Bay Area, and many of us have not left our houses in 3-4 weeks except for grocery store visits. There is no way the virus is eradicated before we go back to work in a normal setting.

You should follow @friedberg on Twitter. He’s doing antibody testing for those in the Bay Area and starting to show some positive results that many in that area had this virus back in January/February.

Please enlighten me. How do cases not significantly spike once quarantine is lifted?

Recovery won’t begin until jobs come back and it’ll drop when the next jobs report comes out.
If you are not tolerant of risk stay away from the market until at least may assuming they don’t extend this nonsense

If you are not tolerant of risk, then you probably have no business investing.

The biggest risk is not taking one

i remember when several on here said it wouldn't even crash.
i dont believe anyone can identify how inefficient society (mass travel, sports, concerts, etc) will be in the near or short term. overlay of markets during trying times says the show ain’t over

I think opening things up in a measured way. I think some changes are here to stay, some social distancing in places like check out lines, limited numbers of people in stores at a time, etc. I also think restaurants will have to have 50% capacity for seating for a long time, maybe forever.
