I stumbled across the AUPH thread a couple weeks ago and bought some based sheerly on that thread, btw thank you bayoubengals88. I recognized everyones interest in Sorrento later in that thread and just thought it would be fun to track everyone trading the stock and the ups and downs over he next few months. Full disclaimer I have no trading insight whatsoever other than how to hit the buy and sell button.

I bought some this morning for $3.25

I have been following AUPH for a few years and have made a little money trading. I am now and investor and bought some SRNE at 3.34 this morning. It is a small position and may trade or stay long. I give all the props to bengal88.

I don't have much experience and shouldn't be allowed access to options (thanks Robinhood). But if you want to have a $3 cost basis couldn't you write a $4 put for ~$1.00 and plan on getting assigned?

What does this company have pending that will make it profitable? Why is there talk of a buyout?

You could. $1.10 is about where the March 2020 $4 puts are trading (the midpoint - insane spreads on the options). Or... you could write a put at the 2.50 strike and collect about .52. If I had an interest in this stock and wanted to use a simple options strategy, I’d do a cash covered put as described. That is, unless you have a reason for wanting to own it sooner than March of next year, assuming it even gets down to 2.50 by then. If not, you made $50 per contract sold - rinse & repeat. If it does, your cost basis is now $2.00/share +/-.

Question for 88. If you had new money to invest in either AUPH or SRNE which would you invest in today?

I just don't know enought about about SRNE yet. I've only liked what I've read so far. I've followed AUPH for three years so I'm more comfortable with it.

It is as derisked at it has ever been, and I invested pretty heavily (for me prior and after phase 2 results).

I made an order last night to sell my T today to buy more AUPH. (up like 40% in a small T position that's not likely to go much higher any time soon).

I sold mine at 4.01. Up $660 in two days. Will try to buy more under 3.50. Love the way Auph is running up. It is by far my most profitable investment ever. In at 4.97. Planning to see half at 20.00.
