Retirement Account Diversification
25-30 years from retirement
Maxing 457, IRA and wife's IRA
All $ are in stock funds

No plans for bond funds now or few years. Question is about how to transition to bonds in future when it's more prudent to have short term protection. Do people generally just start putting the additional retirement contributions into bond funds or just move XX% to non-stock option? Realize no one answer for everyone but just curious how those closer to retirement handled this

Age-10= bond allocation
Age=bonds is old school

Easy way to do it:Fidelity Puritan and/or Fidelity Balanced funds,they have done well.
