This stock is unbelievable, and their product is absolutely superior to all of its competitors. Price target raised and I believe it. I added positions between 100-125 but think you could still get in and make a nice return.

They've been around for a long time and good at what they do. What's making them so good now for their stock to perform as it is? Also, what's the new target?
EDIT: Just found the new target.

I did read this. But first off, I don't understand crypto-mining at all. Second, the uncertainty of crypto would scare the hell out of me holding this long-term. So many things in that world could change over the next ten years. Just strikes me as risky, but only if that's the big reason for their recently-inflated value.

Stout made a solid post a couple of days ago explaining their non crypto-related value

The momentum seen in online gaming and machine learning, plus the crypto currency craze has really sent the stock soaring. Their GPU are superior for these things. I don't see the first two cooling off anytime soon. Im not completely sold on crypto but shoot thats not going to.
I work for an oil company and if you look at every technical persons desktop the have a nvidia graphics card, and we aren't even the most technical company out there in O&G or another industry.
I'm not looking at it from a super technical standpoint but simply looking at the demand out there for their product and IMO it's only going to continue to increase. Market is still a little volatile so I'm looking for it to be weighed down by the overall pull back and then try to find another entry point.

Forward P/E of 42 is still insane. NVIDIA just has a shite ton of momentum though, and if the past week has taught us anything, it's that fundamentals don't seem to matter.

Depends on the coin. AMD cards produce better hash rates overall and always has.

No. Nvidia chips are in just about every handheld device, laptop, tablet, the Nintendo Switch, etc. Do some research and you will realize very quickly just how many products they are in outside of just gaming PCs.
They are also the preferred chip maker for autonomous vehicles at this point.

Whether cryptocurrency stays or not, blockchain technology isn't going anywhere so there will always be a demand for hardware to support it. The issue is that it won't always been GPUs that do it. There have been machines out for a while now called ASIC machines that produce much better hashrates for certain blockchains. I don't think any of that will make or break Nvidia when you consider the amount of products they are in outside of just gaming PCs. Like I said, they are in a ton of everyday products people use and will continue to be.
