Looking at purchasing a new car. 2019 F-150s are a good bit of right now AND you can get 0% for 84 months.

So do we think the deals on new vehicle will get any better or is this about it.

i'm told in another 3 months, they are going to raise the prices up on all the 2019's F150's.

2021 will be out in a few Months. I'd wait unless the deal is a steal.

I doubt they are giving you both the 15k off and 0%. It will be one or the other.

0% for 84 mo will be going away soon, majority reason for that was push to move product with ppl ‘being scared’ during Covid. Even though to buy a year old new truck, not too smart (2020 silverado/sierra have 0% for 84mo) unless you keep cars forever

Just buy Car Shield warranty...it’s worth it.

I have a 2018 Duramax, out of factory warranty. Car shield warranty covers complete drivetrain, electronics (not radio), doors/seats. $99 month.

In some cases it will be worth the cost, but most cases it will not. Otherwise the company you're purchasing it from wouldn't be making any money. You're just transferring risk like any other insurance policy/warranty. I'd pass for $1200 per year

Maybe, Depends on your vehicle and how long you plan to keep it. Solid option once factory warranty runs its course. Service centers and repair shops aren’t full bc of some cases.

Don’t care if a company is turning a profit, and yes I am transferring the risk. Why? I plan on keeping the truck a long time.

My last diesel blow up at 108,000 miles. $16,000 repair. Would have loved to have the warranty then, well worth the $1200.

Note: my vehicle is $99. Neighbor has a 2018 z71, pays $69/$79 month.

Now if your someone that buys a new vehicle every 100k miles, no don’t get it.

You missed the point. If they weren't making money, then they wouldn't be in business anymore, and you wouldn't be able to purchase their warranty. Yes, in the case of your engine blowing up at 108000 miles you would have won. In most cases, that doesn't happen and they pocket your premiums to pay for the cases where they lose.

In my opinion (and its only an opinion), you'd be better off keeping that money in your pocket and just saving for the failure event when it happens.

That could be said to any business you buy goods and services from.

I got the point, I simple disagree with you that it’s not worth it and just put money in rainy day fund (my opinion). If you don’t see the value, then of course, keep doing what your doing.

My insurance company on my house and car makes money, I would still buy it Even if I wasn’t required over putting money in savings.

Not sure it's even arguable that a third party car warranty is a good investment, but if it makes you feel warm and fuzzy, more power to you. All fun and games until you get a $16k repair bill that they deny on a technicality

Lol Jesus.

Well, I’ve spent the $16,000 out of pocket before....Stings!

Hopefully, that never happens again. But it would take over 13 years of putting my $99/mo 3rd party warranty in savings. I see the value given my use of vehicle.

If you use a vehicle as much as me, it’s a viable Option. But hey, if you don’t see the value...You Do You.

I haven’t been able to get the Jeep dealerships deal at all. I have no desire for a 72 month note though.

FWIW: USAA doubled my Toyota warranty for just shy of $500 on my 2018. That was a no brained for me.

Yes, I kept the standard warranty. Once that expired, I purchased CarShield. I travel a lot, work/family camping trips etc....well, until Rona lol.

But it’s paid off so far, I’ve paid 6 months and Had to replace some injectors $2200. So I’m pleased.
