FireEye is going to one to keep an eye on. They’re a 2018 buyout target, they’ve been moving toward a subscription based service, as opposed to one-off purchases.

It’s been beat up recently, but if their subscription is strong enough, you could pick up a quick 5-7%

Disclaimer: I have no open positions in FEYE right now.

Crushing it? No my calls on Nvidia have been crushing me this week. I need a rally so I can get out of them tomorrow morning.

No you understood correctly. I am glad they killed earnings. I have been having to average down on Nvidia all week but I knew they would kill earnings so it wouldn't have been a big deal except the overall market plunging made me nervous. I have more in Nvidia calls than I care to admit but it will pay off or break even tomorrow now. Before that I was already looking up the number to apply for welfare.

Up nearly 11% now

I just need NVDA to stay at at least $240 for a nice profit for me. Currently at $242. Say a prayer for me before you do to bed tonight. KTHNX

Nvidia options do not trade after hours unless I am overlooking it.

You're probably not overlooking it.

I just signed back onto my Schwab StreetSmartEdge account and on the options trading screen it says any option orders will be placed when the market opens tomorrow.

That's too bad. I see NVDA is now trading at $243.50 in after hours trading.

Sleep well!

ETA: Now NVDA is at $246.80.

Does Nvidia being so tightly coupled to crypto currency mining concern you?

Self driving cars will be far more important to nvidias bottom line than crypto currencies will.
Additionally., regardless of the future of crypto, block chain is solid technology will broad application and will take computing power to maintain.

Not at all. We have had this discussion here before so I won't rehash it but think about all the devices Nvidia is in outside of gaming GPUs. They are in just about every handheld device, laptop, tablet, the Nintendo Switch, etc. They are also positioning themselves to be the go to chip maker for autonomous vehicles.

There is a lot more to Nvidia than just gaming GPUs. Do some research and you will see.

A bit of info on mining to add to the discussion:

AMD has always been the preferred mining card

Blockchain tech is here to stay whether or not crypto currency is

Nvidia is pretty much the preferred manufacturer for alt coin mining since they're more efficient and mine the algos better. The stocks rising have nothing to do with video card sales. They still manufacture the same amount and sell them to other manufacturers (asus, sapphire, XFX, etc) for the same amount, it's only the retailers jacking up prices
