BTW folks this is with Quicken . They claim to be the only lender that will do an 8 yr. term . Is that correct?

For an 8 year loan? Why don't you just do a 15 year refi at around 3%, pay a lower rate, and add extra principle payments to pay it off in 8 years. Or just invest the difference since you're getting such a low rate.

I called New Penn, they said their Person that held the Louisiana license quit and they currently couldnt service loans in Louisiana and sent me away.

Interesting, I am still in a meeting buy I am going to check with my mortgage advisor. I am assuming he is still with Nee Penn. I will post an update once I know more.

walkertiger..check with a local bank..standard mortgage has the best rates out there i cant even compete with those guys most of the time. 2.875%-3.0% should be their rate with no points.
