Market downslide overnight.
Crazy market. SP was pushing 3420+ at near 2pm now SP -40 overnight. Maybe back down to last week lows in the short term.

Initial correction didn't go low enough imo. Likely going lower.

Anyone know why OnTrak is dropping so much? Did I miss something? I have some available cash and may catch another small chunk. Just was right make sure I’m not missing something big.

These freefall mode is scary.

-15% from all-time highs is a good target

Apparently so is knowing the difference between "there" and "they're."

re: Market downslide overnight.
Tomorrow is Monday the 21st.

I have no idea where the market will go. Perhaps, a bit through mid-week and recovery after late last week's big slides?

Not seeing any big triggers in the news. Cv19 vaccines are coming with a 100 million doses being manufactured now. Once phase 3 testing is finished, under normal circumstances there is a long assessment for potential long term side effects and a lot of red tape. I think there will be a different assessment of risk and benefit this time given the economic and social impact of the pandemic. Divorce rates are up 35%, depression is way up, suicides are spiking, crime is taking root and bankruptcies are off the chart among other long term risks so that will have to be weighed against normal vaccine risk assessment.

I have slowly started moving things to cash. I’m not saying the market won’t start moving back up but think there are some significant headwinds in front of the lower and middle class that aren’t baked in yet. Most notably significant student loan balances that are going to start coming out of forbearance coupled with the unemployment rate.

But I could be totally wrong, doesn’t matter to me at this point, just take my gains and be happy.

I wonder how much the drop down an elevator shaft has to do with the election... Are the charts from 2016 an indicator?

I'm getting absolutely destroyed today. I'm glad I was still sitting at 15% cash so I can start adding to some of my long positions.
