Louisiana hasn’t finalized my taxes

I’m using the HR Block software because my finances are really easy. I went to file them and as it’s doing the checks to make sure everything looks good there’s a state one that pops up saying something to the effect of:
It looks like you need to file a Louisiana tax return but the state hasn’t finalized yours yet. Keep checking back.
Has anyone else ran into this and if so when are they supposed to "finalize" our taxes? Am I able to file my federal now and do the state later?

State hasn't finalized forms yet.
State probably hasn't approved the vendor software yet for filing. Traditionally LA is one of the last states to approve. LA is supposed to start accepting tax returns on Jan 24 (same day as fed) but odds are they won't have approved all the vendors by that date.
It's not "yours" as in your individual return, it's "yours" in that it's your state's tax forms.

Are you talking about business or personal taxes? IRS isn’t accepting individual returns until 1/24…

These are my personal tax returns. I didn’t realize about the 24th being the start date. I’m actually still waiting on some form to come in that shows the amount of advanced child tax credits on there. I know how much they’ve sent me though so I don’t guess it’s really needed, but if I can’t file until the 24th then hopefully it comes in before then.

I received my advanced child tax credit forms from the IRS last week. You can also go onto irs.gov, set up an account and they will tell you the same info.
