That’s what the trinity study concluded

My following reply is not to be taken as obstinate. That study is worthless. It's coercive. To tell someone they have to have a certain benchmark in savings based on non guaranteed earnings rates is not accurate.
quote:

With more volatile corporate bonds, the sustainable withdrawal rate dipped slightly below 4 percent in 1965 and 1966. This led people to hear that the 4 percent rule has a 95 percent chance for success, though that is true only in the historical data. It does not imply that today’s retirees will enjoy the same chance for success.
Plus a basic fact that is omitted is the cost of inflationary expenses. Plus another fact that is omitted, is that the principal never gets used. 1998 study.

Plus it assumes an 80 year old is going to have 50-80% of their money in equity

If you read his post history and blindly either ignore or do the opposite of everything he's said on MB, you'll do pretty OK.

re: Looking for financial planner
We’ve got a target goal of $4M in 25 years with house almost paid off at retirement and fully paid off shortly after.

If I had to retire early and not tap taxable money I would probably look to real estate to bridge that gap. This is me personally, so it might not apply to you, but it could provide monthly income while also giving you something to do in early retirement so you don’t become “stale” in life.
