Given the recent rise (4.5% today) and 18% in the last 8 trading days, I saw this and wanted to pass it along.

NASDAQ

quote:

In trading on Monday, shares of KEMET Corp. (Symbol: KEM) crossed above their 200 day moving average of $18.88, changing hands as high as $19.07 per share. KEMET Corp. shares are currently trading up about 3.3% on the day. The chart below shows the one year performance of KEM shares, versus its 200 day moving average:

For those still holding, we are still looking to break through the 20.80 resistance. The DMI and RSI are showing strong positive momentum. The Williams %R, however, is showing it is currently overbought. This is still a long term play--6 months out--as we wait to see if they address capacity issues.

Good update. I still have it on my wishlist but don’t have any free capital to deploy plus maybe a few others ahead of it in the buying order.

Stout, I am holding AUPH and KEM. Thanks for the KEM insight. I sold half my AUPH today and was wondering what you thought of AQ at this price level under 12.00. Have it on my watchlist but have not jumped in yet. Your thoughts on this on any other would be welcomed. I will do my own research but would like your thoughts.

Closed today at $21.18. That got us over an important technical barrier. Now, we need to see if it holds. The next important technical barrier is the $24 gap down.

On the options front, June and September calls seem to indicate people expecting a $21-$24 price.

Earnings tomorrow morning. Hopefully, we get a beat and Per Loof doesn't scare off anyone with capacity issues again. Of course, we could have already seen the run up and a "sell the news/earnings" type of deal. Put in your stop losses if you want.

I'm up 27% but looking until Q3 earnings as that's when all capacity issues should be fully addressed.

4 cent beat. Revenue beat by $11 million. 2018 fiscal year end net sales were up 58%. GAAP net income up $4.34 per diluted share compared to $0.87 per diluted share from the prior year.

Hoping we don't get a scare today from Loof.

Looks like a pre-market sell the news. Down about $0.20 on 21.5k in volume.

Man, down 12% on 500k volume. Did they say something on the conference call?

Typically what happens is that institutions take profits, then retail investors panic sending the price even lower. Earnings were fine.

This was my concern. Institutions probably took profits early. This likely triggered stop losses. Heavy volume day. Over 2 million shares traded so far. I didn't take any profits, but have conviction we'll reach $24 in the next few months.

From what I've gleaned from the CC, the outlook is positive. Until I get to read it, I'm staying with the above conclusion. KEM will rebound soon.

It has run north of twenty and back down into 17 range twice since February.
I missed the first sell opportunity but made hay on the last.
Just got back in

Hope you baws got back in or got in for the first time when this stock tanked after earnings. It's up 27% since then and has had a lot of positives moving forward. We've busted through the $20.80 resistance and are now looking for the $24 resistance.
