Wiki I know you're reading this. Your child is over $10,000 a coin.

It's time to confront the haters and have your moment to shine as the richest person on tigerdroppings.

I went and looked up some of his old threads tonight. Fascinating what all he knew.

He knew intricate details about bitcoin and answered every posters’ questions. The furthest back I looked up was a thread from early 2013 when bitcoin was $15 at the time. I want to go look up when he first began posting about it.

Didn’t he lose everything when Mt Gox was hacked?

Thought that’s why he stopped using that account.

I never found his takes to be wild or crazy, I actually found his opposers amusing and humorous. I don’t regret not investing though, because at the end of the day wiki was still a anonymous random message board poster and quite frankly I still don’t understand BTC. I am, however, happy for wiki. I wish he’d come back to confirm his status so I can tell everyone I know about it.

He was very pro MtGox. That was a huge portion of the backlash he got here.

For what it’s worth, his opposers we’re staying that Bitcoin is speculation, not a sturdy currency. And if you look at the charts, they are right. Imagine if the dollar increased or decreases like 10 fold in a year.

They were saying more than that. They were effectively laughing at him and making fun of him. No matter the intricate details of the debates, it’s safe to say wiki got the last laugh.

I wonder if he got in some trouble for posting all that stuff on here and was "Told" to stop.

The last time he posted was February 2014, at that time bitcoin was $612. By the end of the same year it was less than half of that. The next year it got down to $229 before this (untenable) spike began. Who knows when he sold, or how much he actually had. This stuff is still bullshite and I'll be saying that even if today's price quintuples.

Yeah that dude has kept a really low profile lately. In fact I haven’t seen him post outside of the random St. George thread, which is his Pavlovian weakness...

I never got the full story on that...before I assume can someone fill me in? Didn’t Russian essentially share his real life identity here?

He was the laziest mfer I’ve ever debated here. He hates work. Pretty sure he lived in his moms
Basement. She probably loaned him the stash to invest in bitcoin before he lost his arse when it went down and he cashed out. Trust me. If he made a bunch of money he’d be here letting us know. Lol.

Huh?

If you're referring to Wiki, almost everyone on Tigerdroppings who joined around 2005 or so knows wiki's name.

He used his real name as his first screen name on TigerDroppings before he started his new "WikiTiger" screen name. He changed to the new screen name around 2006 or so because he got heavy into contributing to Wikipedia articles, mainly articles about LSU sports, I believe.

The LSU Baseball Wikipedia page credits him as a contributor. He posted on TigerDroppings about his writing about LSU on Wikipedia after he changed his screen name on here. He was proud of it.

Other than that I know nothing about wiki's "real life identity" other than what he posted about himself on TigerDroppings.

I never posted wiki's real name on TigerDroppings although I saw a post on the O-T Board six or seven years ago where another poster called him by his name and Wiki asked him to edit it and remove his name from the post and the other poster complied.

So what are you talking about?

That's why he isn't here anymore. I don't blame him.

Im dead serious. He used to ask me why I worked 70 to 98 hours a week for years. I told him to get where I am. It takes sacrifice. He doesn’t believe in that. I guess he was happy with his part time job At Popeyes. Idk. Seriously on the bitcoin bit he may have cashed out to preserve some
Profits. We will
Never know. Might not have lost his arse. But again if he made it big he would be here letting us know. Believe me. I never took one side or the other as far as speculatively investing in bitcoin. I just didn’t see it as a long term real form of reliable currency for many reasons states here for ages. For those who actually did well speculatively investing in it good for them.

I still really do not think either side is right or wrong. If I recall, Wiki never told people to use bitcoin as an investment. It would topple governments and was protected by the laws of the universe and so on. When I go to lunch today, I will still pay with the US dollar. If I tried to pay with bitcoin I would get laughed out of 99.9% of establishments I tried to use it at.
