Is big tobacco going to get into the weed game?

I bought PM and MO awhile back thinking they would take off once weed was legalized. Well 4 yrs later we are no closer to legal weed and big tobacco has been red for me for sometime. Besides the good dividends they have been dead $ for me. Any reason I shouldn't cut bait?

No...collect your dividends and wait for the cycle. They will do what they want when they want.

You better believe it! They've had plans for that for many years.

Big tobacco will have all of their weed ducks in a row before they finally push through the federal legalization of the stickiest of the icky.

This is how I look at my MO shares. Fat dividend and I’ll just be sitting here hanging out if/when something wild happens with weed. I don’t have any interest in chasing around all the other weed stocks

MO is well positioned and will take advantage of the situation if and when it happens. Being a massive company with an enormous market share, it won’t shoot up like the other small players. However it comes with much less risk and an enticing dividend.
It’s not a sexy play but it’s a good one, and should pay off over time.

NO.... You can spend capitol gains the same as dividends.. Why wait? Look at Constellation Brands, STZ. They already own 30% of the biggest and best Canabis Company, Canopy Growth.
