How would I go about selling this piece of land?

3 of my siblings and I inherited some land several years back when one of our parents passed away. The land is in Assumption parish about a quarter of a mile from the nearest highway and is used for farming.
The only thing I know about this land is that we each get a check for a few hundred dollars a year when they harvest the sugar cane. On the stub with the check it shows the percentages we each own along with like 10 other people who also own a significant percentage of the tract.
I don’t even know where to start as to how I could sell this land.
Would all of us have to agree to sell in order for me to sell this land? Who could I talk about this that could give me more information on the value ?

No. You can force a partition.

Ideally, a lawyer that is well versed in successions and property law.

Easiest sell is going to be to own of the other owners in the tract. Talk to your siblings to see if they want to buy your piece, if not them, then start checking with the other listed owners.
Who sends the check? That’s probably a good place to start with getting more info on the land.

What you have is an undivided interest in a tract of land. You can pay for an appraisal and once you have a value, multiply that by the percent you own. Notify all other owners you intend to sell your interest. Give them a price. If nobody will purchase, you can sell your interest or force the property to be divided. Then you could sell your divided interest.

Thanks for the responses.
Check comes from the sugar mill.
That’s a good point. The farmer is listed as one of the owners and owns the largest percentage of the tract. They may be willing to absorb my relatively small portion

Sugar cane farmers are making a killing right now. They would buy the land from you. The farmer or the mill
